Financing and Sustaining Promise Neighborhoods: Guides and Tools for Fiscal Mapping and Preparing Budgets from The Finance Project

Organization:
The Finance Project
Date Published:
August, 2011

The Finance Project has developed a set of tools that are geared towards managing finances to support educational programs. The fiscal mapping tool helps leaders identify funding resources to help build a stable base of support for their work. The cost development tool lays out a step-by-step approach to calculating fiscal needs of community revitalization efforts. Excel worksheets help leaders identify and understand their costs on a year-by-year basis, both by type of solution (e.g., education programs, family and community supports, etc.) and by the overarching cost categories.
