GPRA and Other Federal Reporting Requirements
Grantees collect and report data related to the GPRA (Government Performance and Results Act) using the Cross-Site Evaluation (CSE) Web portal. In addition, grantees also collect data on prevention/promotion and infrastructure outcomes for SAMHSA’s TRansformation ACcountability (TRAC) performance measures.
GPRA. To simplify data collection, the CSE team has incorporated the four GPRA measures for Project LAUNCH into the data it collects. Although grantees will enter their GPRA data into the Web portal semi-annually, they will report their counts on a quarterly basis to respond to GPRA requirements. GPRA requires Project LAUNCH grantees to collect data on the following:
- The number of collaborative partners (e.g., child-serving agencies and organizations) participating in Project LAUNCH at the state or tribal level
- The number of grantees that provided screenings and/or assessments that were coordinated among two or more agencies or shared across agencies
- The number of children receiving developmental screenings
- The number of providers and caregivers trained in evidence-based or other informed practices that promote child wellness
TRAC. Through the the web-based TRAC data entry system, SAMHSA collects information on prevention and promotion services and infrastructure development. The four GPRA measures for Project LAUNCH are also TRAC measures. Project LAUNCH grantees also collect data on four additional TRAC measures:
- The number or percentage of council members who are consumers or family members
- The number of grantees using evidence-based mental health practices
- The number of children receiving evidence-based mental health-related services
- The number of children referred to mental health or related services
