Continuation Application Due February 17th

January, 2012

Please note that the deadline for submitting your Continuation Application is February 17, 2012.

Use the link below to find the Supplementary Instructions for the Continuation Application:

http://www.samhsa.gov/Grants/downloads/Supplement_Instructions.pdf

You will note that on page 2, Roman Numeral IV, of the Supplementary Instructions there are instructions for completing the Project Narrative portion of the Application. As in years past, we will be providing you with a template to attach to your Continuation Application (or submit electronically via email) that is LAUNCH-specific. This template will be sent to you shortly, and should be completed INSTEAD OF COMPLETING THE PROJECT NARRATIVE PORTION of the application. (Completing this template comprises your Project Narrative).

This narrative will only cover your project activities from October 1, 2011 through February 1st or so, depending upon when you submit this continuation application. We recognize that you have just gone through the extensive process of completing your End of Year Program reports, and that this “mid-year” project narrative only covers approximately 4 months of grant activities. Unfortunately we do not have control over the timing of these deadlines, and approval of your continuation application is what enables funding for another grant year; so, we will work within the time constraints that we are given. Finally, it has been brought to my attention that it is not yet possible to submit your application electronically through grants.gov (as of this date); however, we have alerted the Division of Grants Management and expect that this issue will be resolved shortly.
